If you are just looking for a stop over to rest , look at Atlanta South. Right off the intersate, lots of pull thru's.

RE: Tampa, Ft Myers

For COE look at W.P. Franklin Locks COE park just a bit east of Ft. Myers on the North side of the river. Also Ortona Locks COE... just a bit more east and on the south side of the river. Both very nice. Reserve asap. For Tampa, Hillsborough River SP as already mentioned . Also look at the Hillsborough County parks like Simmons, Litha Springs, Medard .. all waterfront ( bay, river, lake respectively) with rates of $12 /nite....

RE: Nascar trackside camping

We've been camping at 'Dega for 15 yrs or so. Love it. We stay on the track property and spring for a reserved site ( $60 for the week) ... can't beat it

RE: How many have had flats due to valve extenders?

I've had a few loose air due to the extenders. The last time it happened, it shreeded the tire. No damage to the coach, but it cost me a tire. I also put on the longer Borg stems, and haven't had an issue since .

RE: will oceanfront parking cause damage?

We are from Upstate NY and traveling to the California Coast, and we are interested in several RV parks that offer oceanfront camping. We've never parked on the beach, and have heard that the salt from the ocean can cause damage. Any truth to this? Should we avoid oceanfront camping? Thanks for any advice. Hey-- if you're from Binghamton, you should be used to the salt on the roads for 6 months of the year :-) ( I am originally from JC !) As others have said, get out there an enjoy it.. hose it off when you leave.

RE: 1999 Pace Arrow headlight problem

Actually, I pulled out the shop manuals for a few of my other vehicles and they do indeed have fuses for the headlight circuits. I don't know about the MH since I don't have a shop manual and none of the chassis fuses have labels

RE: 1999 Pace Arrow headlight problem

Or it might be a bad high-beam switch. Take a 12 volt test light and check to see if there is any power at the headlight, than if not, check for power at the highbeam switch (if you can get to it). Good luck! That was the culprit-- at least for the headlights! Now gotta look at the fog lights as they are still out

RE: Daytona Beach Bikeweek 2009

Race Track Category: Campgrounds 270 Coral Sea Ave Daytona Beach, FL 32124 (877) 787-2246 www.freewebs.com/racetrackrvpark This place is right outside turn3/4 -- they have water/electric with a pump out service. We've stayed there for the car races. For Bike Week and Biketoberfest we stay at the flea market. Most are no hookups, that's where we stay but they do have a section now with hookups--- call them. last year they had hookups available as the event got close.

RE: Polishing Aluminum Wheels

I never said I wanted to use AutoSol on the coach. My main use was for the solid aluminum rear wheel on my Harley. So, if you know where it is sold retail, let me know. I've heard good feedback on BOMS AWAY -- I just ordered some to see how it works on my rear wheel

RE: Going "camping" - pull a TOAD or rent a car locally?

We used to rent everyonce in a while , but about 8-9 yrs ago I bought a used Geo Tracker. 4x4, Auto, convertable. Weighs very little and is a great toad and fun to drive. It goes about anywhere and isn't much bigger than a golf cart

1999 Pace Arrow headlight problem

Went to hit the road early today and have no headlights. Clearance lights work, flashers work, running lights work, dash lights work, no headlights or fog lights. No fuses blown... I figure it must be a relay somewhere ... any idea where its' at ? F-53 chassis. I'll search when we get to the campground , but thought someone might have prior experience with this specific coach and save me some time thanks !

RE: How far in advance for Fishing Bridge Yellowstone?

We ended up in the area as part of an unplanned extnesion to our trip and I called the day before and was able to get in FB. We stayed there 4 nights. It might have been a fluke getting in like that, but I was OK with it :-)

RE: Coral Sands Seaside Park Campground Daytona

I agree with Katuna--- make sure you get a site with a WORKING sewer hookup. There is at least one that has the pipe in the ground at the site, but the underground pipe is crushed and if you dump, it overflows. I know from experience !

RE: 2000 Fleetwood Pace Arrow

I have a 1999 PA Vision , about 65k miles. Have had no probles to speak of with the chassis or the coach. I have done the usual upgrades... new shocks, trac bars front and rear, sway bar bushings.... just items to help in the ride. For that price it seems like a good deal ... go check it out

RE: Sanibel Island

I haven't been there in a few years, but Periwinkle was the only campground there. It's an OK place, short walk to the beach. Lots of people ride bicycles on the island. Shelling is the name of the game there. On the mainland in Ft. Myers is the Ford/Edison winter homes and lab. It's worth a visit to this museum and gardens. The reason we haven't gone back is they don't allow dogs.... other than that, I would go back.
